B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from NIT
GMAT 710(Q 49 , V 37) [ Actual Test Date July 2014
9.5 years experience. Currently working as IT Developer/System Architect
Aim: ISB and IIMs PGPX
Though I have worked with people of multiple countries, but I did not get chance to go to outside India for work assignment . Will it be a drawback ?
Though an onsite opportunity would've been good to have (since many applicants with a tech background will talk about it), not having it is not a deal-breaker.
Just ensure that your essays convey the importance and relevance of what you've done for the company and how it is better than your peers.
ISB won't be a good fit for your profile, given the experience. That leaves very few options in India.
Why aren't you looking at international programs?

2.7 years,currently Software Quality Engineer
GRE 313(Q 156 V157) Test Date July 2015|TOEFL 106 | Planning for GMAT
How should I plan my schedule for the next six months before the October 2016 deadline for the 2017 admissions at ISB Hyderabad?
Which are the similarly ranked programs preferably in India that I could opt for?
The GRE score is low. Hope your GMAT score will be more competitive. That'll make a big difference to your overall application.
Besides that if you've been involved in anything outside work, see if you can take it to some culmination in the next few months. Good to be able to talk about the impact you've had in a different sphere.

B.E in IT

Yet to plan GMAT
Aim: 1 year MBA
I would like to move to operations management and feel an MBA is the best way to make the transition and find a good job not restricted to IT area. I wish to pursue an 1 year MBA from an indian B School. having said so I would be grateful if could be guided on a few things
with the current profile and that every second IT professional opts for an MBA
1) what kind of GMAT score needs to be targeted for XLRI, IIML/IIMC, SP jain, ISB.
2)What kind of relevant job roles and responsibilities in my current IT job can I target/move to make a strong profile for admission.
3) Any must have extra curricular that I would need to back my profile
I do apologise if the above gives one the impression of not being well prepared,
Apart from the IIMs (that attract a more mature set of students) the other names you've listed get younger applicants. Fitting into the program would be a challenge.
For folks with IT professionals, getting an international MBA can add a little exclusivity. Any specific reasons why you are focussing only on Indian programs?
It's too late to move into new roles and jobs now, if you are planning to apply this season. Better to stay where you are for the time being till you submit your applications.
There are no 'must have' extra-curricular activities for MBA applications. Build up on what you've been already doing, and present it well.
I'd agree with your last line. It does give the impression that there's a lot of ground to be covered.
When is the GMAT date planned?

GMAT 720 [Expected] Test date: Dec
USA for classes starting in 2020
I am currently pursuing CFA and FRM. I am likely to work for 3 years at a top bank. Throughout graduation, i have been a partner at my fathers firm and have also actively tracked the equity markets. I have made some impact on the revenues of the firm.
I am learning the guitar and learning Spanish. EC work may be done later.
Post-MBA i want to work in PE, IB or be CEO of a top bank.
1. Since i have 4 years on hand, what do i need to make it to top 20 US B-Schools?
2. Undergrad GPA is low. Can i make up in any way?
3. Are Harvard, Stanford, Wharton unreachable for me?
It's too early for a profile evaluation, since there's so much that can happen in the next 4 years that makes your profile quite unlike where it is today.
Focus on growing your dad's business. Take on responsibilities on the technical as well as business / cient management side.
Here's an article on managing low academic grades (GPA) in MBA applications.
720 may not be very competitive for the schools on your target list. And why limit yourself to harvard / wharton / stanford? What is that career goal you have in mind that cannot be achieved from other good MBA colleges?
Think about answers to that question, since you'll be writing about it in your MBA applications.

As i have started preparing for GMAT please evaluate if my profile is good enough to get scholarships
We have to confess that we can't answer your query about whether you will get any scholarships.
While a large number of folks who we help have got partial and full scholarships, it's impossible for any consulting team to predict it, unless it's for a very low ranking program.
Here are some stories for you to compare your profile with and see if you have similar bschools on your target list.

You have another challenge ahead of you, i.e. the reason you've taken a break from work. I hope you are able to take care of your health and bounce back on your feet soon. Are you sure things will get sorted out before hte application season?
If not, it may be better to defer the MBA plans till you are physically and financially stronger.
Take care!

USA/UK for classes starting in september 2017
Is there a missing link in my profile ?
Quite a few missing things, I'm afraid. Pls take this feedback in a constructive manner.
You've posted your details twice. The first one didn't have any questions for us. And neither of the 2 submissions had a LinkedIn profile URL or anything else that would give us an idea of what you do at work, what your aspirations are, what you expect from the MBA experience.
I had a tough time trying to understand what you've done professionally.
Most of what you've shared in your 'what makes me unique' section happened during your student days.
Consistency and completeness are very important when it comes to bschool applications.
Try to be more thorough and clear in the actual applications, so Adcoms don't have the same reaction that I did.

is my profile suitable for top mba programs
area on which i need to work upon
You haven't shared details of what you do in your current role as Deputy Manager. And there's no LinkedIn URL that we could refer to in order to better understand your profile.
From the designation, I assume this is a retail banking role. But the earlier one said investment banking. Did you get out of Ibanking?
There aren't too many Indian applicants with that background, so Adcoms will not be able to guess what career trajectory you have planned for yourself.
The GMAT score estimate is common for Indian applicants, specially those who come in from quant oriented professions such as banking and finance. Going higher would help.
You already have an MBA. You haven't explained your accomplishments, goals and why you need another MBA to get there.
Unless you explain these clearly in your application, it's going to be difficult for any application reviewer to connect the dots and see the potential.

1)Whether my profile is eligible for any good institution in India for 1 year MBA course?
2)My graduation marks are depressing,Still there is any chance that the institutes will look on job profile, leaving the bad marks?
3) How I can improve my profile as I am planning for MBA at late 2018?
No issues on the eligibility front.
The low grades could be a problem area. Read what you could do about it:
https://www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/2015 ... lications/
I realise that your 15 hour daily work schedule doesn't leave you with much time for GMAT prep. But do find some time to focus on it, as this will be a key area that Adcoms will consider specially since your academic performance has not been impressive.

1. Is doing an MBA the ideal approach to accomplish my goals?
2. Can Executive MBA's from Indian (IIM's/ ISB etc.) help move geographically?
3. Which of the two geographies (Canada or UK) are more suited opportunity-wise post MBA?
4. Would my target score be sufficient / greater than threshold (though completely aware that schools decide considering various other factors)?
5. I can get some referrals from global contacts/ managers, would that help strengthen my case?
1. Yes, the MBA would be a good tool to build your managerial skills and tell the world that you are ready for higher roles (and salaries).
2. First off, they aren't Executive MBA programs. And they will not help you move geographically.
3. Canada is a safer bet as far as getting a work permit is concerned.
4. The target score will be lower than the threshold for the applicant pool that you fall in.
5. Yes, they can. Specially if they've worked with you or supervised you directly.

B.com from MU
I have 41℅ in my graduation. Is it possible for me to pursue my MBA abroad? I do have work experience in accounts in a private CA firm.
You sure can apply to international MBA programs abroad, but the grades will be a big hurdle along the way for good programs.
Your submitted profile says B.Com, however your LinkedIn profile says you are pursuing a Masters level qualification to be completed in 2017. is this a part-time distance learning course?
